What to do if you have an e-ticket

If you have an Expedia.com e-ticket, print a copy of both your itinerary and your e-ticket receipt to present at airport security checkpoints and airline check-in locations.

To print your e-ticket documentation:

  • Go to Expedia.com.
  • Choose the My Trips link at the top of any page.
  • Open an itinerary.
  • Click the link on the left that says, "Show a printable itinerary."
  • Print that itinerary.
  • Go back to the itinerary page.
  • Click on the "printed receipt" link in the yellow bar. This produces your e-ticket receipt.

Additional tips:
In light of heightened security measures, be sure to allow extra time to get to and through airports, carry trip documents with you, and exercise patience.

Airport arrival:
Officials are asking travelers to arrive a minimum of 2 hours before scheduled flight departure (3 hours for international flights).

Check-in:
Airport security checkpoints and airline check-in locations require that you present proof of current-date travel. This could include an Expedia.com e-ticket receipt, an Expedia.com itinerary, a boarding pass, or a paper ticket. You will also need to present some kind of government-issued photo identification—such as a driver's license or a passport—during check-in and prior to boarding.

Most airlines will once again allow you to check-in online or at an automated kiosk. If you use those services, be sure to have your ticket documentation and photo identification handy to show at the security checkpoint and airline gate.
